The hotel was fairly clean and the location was quiet close to the sea. Everything met every demand, had a real good stay for our first night in Sri Lanka. The staff were very amiable and affable and we greatly enjoyed this stay. The twin/double room was immaculate. Location: the venue was right by alternative transport to Jaffna, the beach and restaurants in town and Negombo.

The Bee Nest Bed & Breakfast was a delightful place to stay during my time in Negombo. The decoration of the hotel was charming and created a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The general areas were accessible and senior-friendly, with comfortable seating and easy navigation. The children working there were incredibly kind and attentive to my needs, ensuring I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. They truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and cared for.
If I had to suggest one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be to have clearer directions to the hotel. As a senior traveler, it can be a bit challenging to navigate unfamiliar places, and the initial difficulty in finding the hotel added a little bit of stress to my arrival.

The national park is absolutely delightful, especially when you spot the majestic roaming elephants and bears. The ancient city ruins and palace provide a breathtaking view. Don't miss the chance to visit the largest Wild Elephant Orphanage and indulge in an Ayurveda Massage or Elephant Safari in the jungle.
Oh, and let's not forget the thrilling experience of having big birds fly up quickly into my personal space. Just what I always wanted.

Great value for money - the room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was really good. the staff was super friendly and helpful. They even let us use their laptop and printer to print our flight tickets. the bathroom was very nice and the cleanliness of the room was impressive.
The lighting in the room was a bit dim in the evenings, which could be a bit inconvenient. One of the beds was missing a mosquito net, so one of us didn't sleep that well.

Sriyani, our host, was super cool and made us feel at home. She even helped us book an awesome cycling tour around Negombo. The area is perfect for cycling, with smooth roads and beautiful scenery. We also got to watch a peacock dance, which was mind-blowing! it was a blast and we had the time of our lives!
The only thing we wished for was a better nightlife scene for young party-goers. It would've been great to have more options to dance and have fun at night.

The charming decor of Bee Nest Bed & Breakfast made me feel like I was staying in a cozy home away from home. The general areas were beautifully designed with comfortable seating and lovely artwork. As a senior woman, I greatly appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. There were handrails in the hallways and the rooms were well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate. The hosts, particularly the kind lady running the place, were incredibly attentive and helpful, ensuring my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
I would have liked clearer signage within the hotel to easily find my way around.
